TOKYO (Sputnik) – Inter-Korean tensions escalated this and last month after Pyongyang claimed to successfully test fire a hydrogen bomb, then put a satellite into orbit, violating UN Security Council resolutions in both cases.
"After all, there is talk of regime change in relation to North Korean leadership. I want to say that the time has come to even consider options such as this," Representative Na Kyung-won told the KBS radio station.
Last week, ruling Saenuri party lawmaker Ha Tae-keung called for North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s removal in an interview with another South Korean radio station.
Seoul planned, then dismissed the idea, to topple North Korean leader Kim Il Sung in response to an assassination attempt of South Korean strongman Park Chung-hee in 1968.
