BRUSSELS (Sputnik) — The European Commission adopted on Tuesday a package of sustainable energy security measures, European Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy Miguel Arias Canete said.
"EU Energy Security package just formally adopted!" Canete said on his Twitter account.
New norms are expected to come into effect after the package is approved by all concerned EU institutions, such as the European Parliament or the Council of the European Union.
