When dreadful things happen to us, it’s important to move on and try to bring hope and love back into life, instead of hiding inside, in constant fear and depressed, according to Parisian street artist Fred Le Chevalier, who told Sputnik how he uses his drawings to spread the message of love and peace.

Following a series of terrorist attacks in the French capital last November, an air of fear and despair began to set in among city residents. Le Chevalier knew that he had to do something to help his fellow Parisians by bringing humanity, kindness and love back to the city's terror-stricken streets.

Le Chevalier did what he does the best — by drawing his fascinating street art.

"My drawings express only love. I thought: from now on love is part of our lives, because we can't hide twenty more years," the painter told Sputnik.

After the Paris attacks, fear began to spread among the residents of Paris, as people sat all day in front of TV watching reports about Daesh, war and other depressing things.

"I began doing it (drawing) because people needed to heal their wounds. I couldn't stay home," Le Chevalier told Sputnik. "I thought it was important to show that life goes on and people should hold onto good things."

Although many other artists shared their work after the terror attacks, Le Chevalier's work had the most powerful message and was highly praised by the residents of Paris. People began to share Le Chevalier's trademark black-and-white drawings on social media.

On November 13, a series of terrorist attacks in Paris claimed the lives of 130 people, injuring over 350 others. The terrorist group Daesh, which has been active in Iraq and Syria, claimed responsibility for the attacks.
