MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Moscow discovered no traces of Turkish involvement in the downing of a Russian Airbus A321 passenger jet in October over Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula. Investigations into the deadly crash are continuing, Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) head Alexander Bortnikov said Tuesday.
"We don’t see a Turkish trace, but investigations are continuing," Bortnikov told journalists.
On October 31, a Russian-operated airliner carrying 224 people crashed in the Sinai Peninsula en route from the seaside resort of Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg. Everyone on board died in the terrorist attack, making it the worst disaster in Russian civil aviation history.
