BANGKOK (Sputnik) — The road accident took place on a highway to Mae Sot near the border with Myanmar, the public broadcaster PBS Thai said.
The double-decker bus with 45 passengers rammed into the truck carrying a full load of sugar as it was trying to overtake the truck on a two-lane route. The bus overturned causing several passengers to spill out.
Both drivers and three passengers died, including two Myanmar nationals. All those wounded were rushed to the hospital.
