NOVO-OGARYOVO (Moscow Region), (Sputnik) — Speaking about the migrant crisis in Europe, the Russian leader said he also respected Hungary's position on "defending the identity," but underscored that Russia is not interfering in this "EU's inner issue."
Earlier in the day, Putin held a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
"As for many other aspects of the political settlement in the Middle East, related to the combat operations and so on, Prime Minister [Orban] adheres to the opposition, which is generally formulated by the European Union, and we treat it with understanding," Putin said following the meeting.
Putin added that the two countries' opinions about the causes of this Middle East crisis are "largely the same."
