KIEV (Sputnik) – Ukraine’s Nation Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting has asked the country’s National Security Service to impose sanctions against 38 of Russia’s largest television broadcasters and media outlets.
“The National Council has turned to the Council of National Security and Defense of Ukraine with the proposal of imposing personal and special economic and other limitation measures on 38 juridical entities of the Russian Federation. The according resolution with the goal of providing information security and the protection of Ukraine’s territorial integrity was passed at a meeting on February 18,” the National Council published on its website.
The TV and radio broadcasting regulator has listed Russian federal stations, and television channels registered in Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as those that are operating in the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk, which are not under Kiev’s control.
