MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to Konstantin Dolgov, the two countries are "at the final stage of the talks" regarding the signing of the treaty on adoption and any outstanding issues are expected to be resolved soon.
"The most important thing about this document is that it ensures the rights of any underage Russian citizens who will be adopted or have already been adopted by Israelis," Dolgov said at a press conference at the Rossiya Segodnya International News Agency.
The diplomat noted that all the necessary safety mechanisms had been already established.
Earlier this week, Dolgov said Israel adopted the fourth largest number of Russian children after Italy, Spain and France.
