Trump Calls for Boycott of Apple Until Company Unlocks Terrorist's iPhone
Americans should boycott tech giant Apple and not purchase its products because the company refuses to unlock an encrypted iPhone used by an Islamic terrorist who killed 14 people in San Bernardino, California last December, US presidential hopeful Donald Trump said in a rally in South Carolina.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — On February 9, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director James Comey said the agency has not been able to unlock the encrypted iPhone 5C used by one of the two terrorists involved in the deadly mass shooting in San Bernardino on December 2.
"Boycott Apple until such time as they give that [locked] information," Trump stated on Friday.

Apple initially opposed the FBI’s request, citing concerns of the danger to jeopardize secure communications of its customers as well as data storage.
On Friday afternoon, the US Department of Justice issued a motion compelling Apple to comply with the FBI investigation and provide access to the terrorist’s iPhone.
