Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump has won Saturday's primary in South Carolina, as reported by US media.
Considered a long-shot only a few months ago, the wealthy New York real estate tycoon has gone beyond expectations and may now have a real shot at the Republican nomination, pundits are saying. He has been roundly criticized for a number of controversial statements including the suggestion that he would build a wall between the US and Mexico border and he would stop any Muslims from entering the country.
