MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The number of Britons who support the United Kingdom exceeds those who oppose Britain beeing a part of Eurozone by 15 percent, a recent poll revealed.
The poll commissioned by The Mail on Sunday is the first one since UK Prime Minister David Cameron's announcement that an in/out referendum on the UK membership of the European Union was due to be held on June 23.
The poll also revealed that 35 percent of people surveyed believed Cameron had successfully dealt with his task during the summit in Brussels, while three UK citizens out of 10 surveyed said the prime minister had done "badly" during the EU talks.
EU leaders met in Brussels on February 18-19 to discuss the United Kingdom’s future in the bloc. On the second day of the summit, an agreement on Britain’s EU reform proposals was reached.
The British prime minister pledged to campaign for Britain staying in the bloc as the new deal guaranteed a special status for the United Kingdom within the European Union and delivered on the reform commitments the prime minister had made.
