MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Sunday, the category 5 tropical cyclone made a landfall on the South Pacific island as the most powerful storm recorded in the Southern Hemisphere.
At least four people are confirmed missing in the natural disaster, National Disaster Management Office Director Akapusi Tuifagalele said, as quoted by the Fiji live news portal.
The devastating winds averaging 143 mph are not expected to weaken in the next 48 hours, according to the media outlet.
