BERLIN (Sputnik) — Ukraine should implement the reforms, stipulated by the Minsk deal, especially in light of the situation in Donbass, French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said Monday.
"Ukraine should carry out institutional reforms, the decentralization program, especially in light of the specific situation in Donbass," Ayrault told reporters in Berlin.
Ayrault is due to meet with his Russian, German and Ukrainian counterparts in Paris on March 3 for a new round of Normandy Format talks on the Ukrainian reconciliation.
The key points of the so-called Minsk deal included a durable ceasefire, weapons withdrawal from the line of contact in Ukraine's southeast, and constitutional reforms, including devolving more powers to the regions and granting a special status to the breakaway Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.
