We all knew that UK’s vote on whether to leave or stay in the EU - scheduled for June 23 - would not have been a quiet affair. Still, many of the ways the Brexit campaigners rally their supporters are weird, offensive and sometimes simply ridiculous.

And with four months still to go, the intensity of strange campaigning can only soar. Here is our compilation of the four best Brexit oddities.

Britain’s Coming Home Parody Song

UKIP’s supporter Mandy Boyle re-styled 1998 classic song "Three Lions" with pro-Leave EU lyrics in a peculiar video.

Boyle could not find anybody else to sing along with her in the clip, so she just decided to cast a replica of herself (plus an unconvincing blond wig.) Together, the two Boyles put up a bemusing, Union Jack-clad jaunty dance.

Brexit Condom

It is official: Leave EU has produced 2,000 “Brexit condoms”. The punchy slogans printed on the wraps are "The Safer Choice" — which apparently compares the EU to an STD— and "It’s riskier to stay in"— with a sexual innuendo intended.

The GO! Tie

Intended as a fluorescent banner of allegiance to the Eurosceptic cause, the Grassroots Out or GO! tie has drawn jokes and jeers due to its flashy lime-and-black look. Prime Minister David Cameron pointedly refused the "very garish item" when one of his party’s most anti-EU MPs tried to hand it to him.

Some have even said that the tie’s criticized design and choice of color is a reason good enough to stay in the Union. UKIP’s leader Nigel Farage, nonetheless, sports it very proudly.

Brexit Beer

After years of seeing Eurosceptic-in-chief Nigel Farage posing for pictures with a pint of lager in his hand, could the Out campaign avoid creating its own brand of beer? Certainly not.

The "Tall Tale" Brexit Beer was launched in early February by Leave.eu. It was described as "deeply textured" amber ale.
