MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin’s approval rating stood at 81 percent in February, a poll revealed Friday.
According to Russia's Levada-Center pollster, 19 percent of the Russian population did not approve in February of the way Putin was performing his job as president.
As many as 58 percent of respondents approved of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev's performance, while 51 percent of those surveyed also approved of the Russian government.
In November, Forbes magazine revealed that Putin had topped its list of the World’s Most Powerful People for the third consecutive year. In April, he was ranked first in an April TIME magazine readers’ ballot to choose persons who "have changed the world this past year, for better or worse."
Putin was also included in the shortlist of contenders for TIME magazine’s 2015 Person of the Year award in December.
