MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Syrian Kurds are holding talks on opening representation offices in Copenhagen, Berlin and Paris, the possibility of having a mission in Washington is not ruled out, a spokesman for the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) said Friday.
"Talks are underway on opening of Syrian Kurds representative offices in Copenhagen, Berlin and Paris. I think a Syrian Kurds mission could be opened in Washington as well," Selahattin Soro said in a n interview with Rossiya 24 television.
Earlier in February, Syria's Kurdish Rojava Autonomous Region opened a diplomatic representation office with no functions of an official embassy in Moscow.
The Kurdistan National Congress is a Brussels-based coalition of European organizations formed by exiled Kurdish politicians, lawyers and activists.
