MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia has sent proposals to the United States with general conditions and procedures necessary to ensure the cessation of hostilities in Syria, the Russian General Staff said Saturday.
"Yesterday we sent a proposal to the US side, with standard terms and procedures necessary to ensure the cessation of hostilities," Lt. Gen. Sergei Rudskoi, the chief of the Russian General Staff‘s Main Operational Directorate, said.
According to Rudskoi, Russia and the United States will take measures to deescalate tensions if Syrian ceasefire violations are confirmed.
