MOSCOW (Sputnik) — During airstrikes, Pakistan’s security services destroyed three shelters of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan extremist group in the village of Shawal, where the militants are based, the Dawn news agency reported.
One of the commanders of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement is listed among those killed in the attack, according to the media.
Pakistan's army announced last week the start of the final stage of the anti-terrorist operation in the region on the border with Afghanistan, which was launched in 2014. The operation called Zarb-e-Azb targets numerous extremist groups active in the country.
According to the Pakistani authorities, some 2,800 rebels have been killed since the start of the operation.
