VLADIVOSTOK (Sputnik) – The Russian Navy’s Pacific Fleet patrol boat crews tasked with combating sabotage and terrorist groups have successfully passed exams ahead of performing tasks at sea, the fleet said Tuesday.
"Boat crews, including that of the latest Project ‘Grachonok,’ of anti-diversionary submarine units and Kamchatka waters combined defense forces have successfully passed K-1 course tasks," the fleet said.
The tasks are described as a means of entry for sea tests.
Among the objectives performed by crew members included air defense, damage control, anti-sabotage defense, as well as personnel actions under chemical, bacteriological and radiological contamination.
The boats are scheduled to be put to sea in the near future to pass test exercises and begin performing intended tasks.
