BELFAIR (Sputnik) —"Any convicted felon is not allowed to have possession of firearms," Spurling stated on Tuesday. "The suspect [was previously ordered to] surrender any firearms that he had to law enforcement."
Spurling continued by saying that an arsenal of weapons was recovered at the scene of a suicide shooting.
“[We recovered] the one hand gun and we have five long guns,” Spurling stated.
The 12-year-old child of Chinese descent who escaped unharmed from the scene of a murder suicide in Washington State is being cared for by Child Protective Services, Mason County Deputy Sheriff Ryan Spurling said during a press conference.
"She is being overseen by child protective services," Spurling stated. "We have experts that are taking care of her."
A motive for the Washington State gunman to commit the crime hasmay never be found, Spurling pointed out.
"Very possible," Spurling said on Tuesday in response to a question whether a motive for the killing may never be found. "It all depends on when the interview with the only live victim is done."
