MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Domodedovo International Airport canceled 10 flights scheduled for Wednesday, while Sheremetyevo International Airport canceled 97 flights and Vnukovo canceled four, according to the airports' online departure timetables.
According to Sheremetyevo’s press service, the airport is continuing to operate normally, despite the difficult weather conditions.
The blizzard started in Moscow late on Tuesday. More than half of the average monthly snowfall fell in the Russian capital on late Tuesday and early Wednesday. Thick fog is expected to cover the Moscow Region by late evening.
