The plaintiffs are Berkshire Hathaway International Insurance Ltd, Tokio Marine Kiln Insurance Ltd, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group (MSIG), Great Lakes Reinsurance, and MAPFRE Global Risks.
A Vnukovo airport representative upheld his petition on Wednesday on the abandonment of the claim. The court demanded that the plaintiffs present additional evidence, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported from the courtroom.
The plane, which was scheduled to fly to Paris, crashed during takeoff after colliding with a snow machine that was being operated by driver Vladimir Martynenko.
According to the Russian Investigative Committee, Martynenko was operating the snowplow in violation of the runway rules due to the absence of oversight by senior shift engineer Vladimir Ledenev. Violations on the part of air-traffic controllers on duty also contributed to the crash.
