MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said on Sunday they had uncovered a terrorist hideout in a 191-hectare park containing explosives and bomb-making items.
"Police uncover significant terrorist hide containing bomb making components and explosives at Carnfunnock Country Park, near Larne," PSNI tweeted.

The Belfast Telegraph quoted Serious Crime Branch Detective Chief Inspector Gillian Kearney as saying it was "too early to link these items to any particular grouping" until a detailed forensic examination was concluded.
The newspaper cited PSNI as saying the find was hidden a number of small plastic barrels buried in a wooded area.
The discovery comes a day after police found an explosive device 20 miles south of the Carnfunnock park in Belfast, and two days after a car bomb wounded a prison officer driving the vehicle.
