A US Senate candidate with a peculiar past has reportedly been prohibited from entering Canada after being interrogated for 3.5 hours by the Canadian Border Service.

Augustus Sol Invictus, who changed his name from Austin Gillespie, is a Libertarian candidate for the US Senate with a lengthy record of incendiary statements. The 32-year-old lawyer claimed that he was blocked from speaking in  Vancouver because of his affiliation with neo-Nazis. According to Invictus, he was detained for 3.5 hours, during which he was interrogated about his "affiliation with neo-Nazis, about the charges of Fascism, and about allegations of racism."

US Senate Candidate Sacrificed a Goat and Drank Its Blood

"I was a politician traveling to give a speech and yet they treated me like a gang member trying to run guns across the border," Invictus claimed.

Invictus claims he was a member of a religious group called Ordo Templi Orientis (Order of the Temple of the East), whose most well-known member was the English fabulist Aleister Crowley.

In 2013, Invictus renounced his own law firm, Imperium Law, and traveled, if his claims can be verified, from Florida to Mojave Desert by foot. He also claims to have sacrificed a goat "to the god of wilderness" and consumed the animal's blood. When Invictus claimed to have done this, Adrian Wyllie, the chairman of Libertarian Party of Florida, resigned, to call attention to Invictus' bizarre behavior.

Adrian Wyllie called Invictus a "violent Fascist and Neo-Nazi", and accused him of recruiting nationalists to the Libertarian party and of supporting  eugenics.

In 2013 Invictus declared that he believes he will be the cause of a "Second American Civil War," issuing statements calling for revolution.
