NALCHIK (Sputnik) – On Wednesday, a group of assailants attacked a bus with nine activists and journalists on board on the border between Russia's Chechnya and Ingushetia regions. Four people were hospitalized, including one Norwegian and one Swedish reporters.
"The state of the injured is satisfactory. They mainly have bruises and abrasions, while one of the women has a laceration in her right thigh. In addition, they experienced serious psychological distress," the employee of the Sunzhenskaya regional hospital told RIA Novosti.
According to one of the journalists, there were 15-20 attackers, all wearing masks.
"We have been informed of this case," a Swedish embassy official told RIA Novosti.
The Russian Internal Ministry opened a criminal investigation into the attack.
