WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The coalition launched five airstrikes on Wednesday in and around three Syrian cities targeting Daesh headquarters and a logistics facility near Raqqa, fighting positions and a vehicle borne improvised explosive device near Hawl, and a tactical unit and more fighting positions close to Mara.
"In Syria, coalition military forces conducted five strikes using attack, fighter and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL [Daesh] targets," CJTF-OIR said.
Meanwhile in Iraq, coalition forces conduced 15 airstrikes on Wednesday throughout eight Iraqi cities destroying Daesh rocket rails, vehicles, supply caches, assembly areas, fighting positions and also blocked off the group’s access to terrain near Ramadi.
"Additionally in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted 15 strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq using rocket artillery and ground-attack, attack, and fighter aircraft against ISIL [Daesh] argets."
