Sunday was marked by two lethal attacks in Turkey and in the Ivory Coast, in West Africa.
A string of gun attacks at three hotels in the Ivory Coast’s beach resort city of Grand Bassam killed 16 people and was claimed by a local al-Qaeda branch, according to US broadcaster CNN.
No one has yet claimed the bombing at a bus stop near Ankara’s central Kizilay square, which wounded further 125 people, of whom 19 are in serious condition.
