A group of gunmen has attacked two hotels in the resort city of Grand-Bassam in southern Cote d'Ivoire, leaving over 11 people killed and several injured, media reported Sunday, citing the country's authorities.

The nation's government said that the attacks on two hotels in Grand-Bassam located 25 miles from Abidjan had left five men, five women and one child among the victims, according to the CNN.
The assailants were not immediately identified, according to the broadcaster.
