MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Lionel Clah told reporters as he was led to police headquarters on Saturday that his handcuffs and leg irons simply "fell off," according to NBC News. He added he "had fun" while at large, the outlet said.
Clah, who was jailed for an armed robbery, was caught 250 miles away from the place he fled. Police were notified by a woman that he had broken into her apartment, NBC said, citing an officer with the police department.
The other fugitive, Joseph Cruz, was recaptured on Friday following a foot chase. He was convicted of murder and child abuse in 2006.
