The first in history Russia-EU mission to Mars takes off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

The ExoMars's spacecrafts — the orbital and the landing modules — are to be be put into orbit by Russia's Proton-M space rocket.

The assembly of Russia's Proton-M carrier rocket has been concluded ahead of a joint Russian-European launch of a Mars orbiter, Roscosmos said Monday.
