Over 5,000 people in the village of Pawara in northern India turned out for the Hindu wedding of two dogs, Asian News International (ANI) reported on Saturday.
"The marriage took place as per Hindu traditions and included welcoming guests with full fervour. Participants danced to the tunes of a DJ … Traditional Indian cuisine was also served to the wedding guests," ANI reported.
The bride is named Shaguniya and the groom is named Shagun.
Shaguniya's owner Jung Bahadur "gave a tearful send off to Shaguniya who left with Shagun in a car."
"Although she is my dog, she is like my daughter," an emotional Bahadur said on the big day.
