WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) in Washington, DC is leading the investigation into former Russian Press Minister Mikhail Lesin’s death, FBI's spokesperson Susan McKee told Sputnik on Monday.
"The Metropolitan Police Department is the lead investigative agency," McKee said when asked whether the FBI provided information on Lesin’s case to Russia or requested any data from Moscow.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest announced on Friday that the FBI is also working on Lesin's case.
