WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump both maintain sizable leads against their party’s opponents as voters from several US states including Ohio and Florida head to the polls on Tuesday, according to a new NBC News/Survey Monkey Weekly Election Tracking poll.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz is trailing behind Trump at 24 percent, followed by Ohio Governor John Kasich at 12 percent and Florida Senator Marco Rubio at 11 percent.
Among different groups, women favor Clinton over Sanders by about 20 points, and the Vermont senator is more favored by Hispanic and white men, while the former secretary of state is favored more by black men.
On Tuesday, voters from the US states of Missouri, Florida, Ohio, Illinois, and North Carolina will head to the polls to take part in their states’ primaries.
