Earlier in the day, a meeting of the FIFA organizing committee on the preparation for the 2018 World Cup was held in Switzerland.
"There were no complaints about us during the organizing committee [meeting], on the contrary, there were a lot of words of gratitude for the cooperation with the FIFA administration. A great progress, which we, together with FIFA experts, have reached recently in different areas, has been noted. During this period [since the last meeting] a lot has been made, which has repeatedly been noted by the members of the committee," Alexei Sorokin told R-Sport by telephone.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be held from June 14 to July 15 in 11 Russian cities, including Moscow, Ekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Saransk and Volgograd.
