MOSCOW (Sputnik) – At least 15 people were killed, 25 injured on Wednesday by a blast targeting a bus carrying government employees in the northwestern Pakistan's city of Peshawar, local media reported citing police officials.
"Fifteen people were killed and 25 others were severely injured," Superintendent of Police Cantonment Muhammad Kashif said as quoted by the Dawn newspaper.
He added that the bomb was planted in the rear part of the bus.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has been repeatedly targeted by the attacks carried out by Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), an umbrella organization of various Islamist militant groups based in northwestern Pakistan, along the Afghan border. The most notorious of them took place in December 2014, when seven gunmen had entered an Army Public School in Peshawar and killed 132 children and 13 adults.
