GENEVA (Sputnik) – Representatives from various Syrian peoples, including Kurds, will discuss the possibility of Syria’s federalization at the Geneva reconciliation talks later on Wednesday, European Representative of Rojava (Syrian Kurdistan) Administration Senam Mohamed told Sputnik.
"We have the so-called Project of Democratic Syria. We also had this project before. We also have the Commission preparing everything for this project. It consists of all the components of Arabs in Rojava in the North of Syria — those who are Arabs, Turkmens, Syrian Kurds, all together,” Mohamed said.
She said the joint commission of around 100 individuals plans to discuss Syria’s future, including the country’s federalization.
“Federalism which we want is not ethnic federalism, it is about all the ethnic components of Syria making a joint federalism, which is political and democratic. We call it democratic federalism,” Mohamed said.
