As a goat’s gestation period lasts about 5 months, and the doe is already about to give birth, the safari park authorities have ruled that sending an already pregnant she-goat to the contest was cheating and disqualified her from the contest, according to LifeNews.
The contest to choose a mate for Timur the Goat, the companion of Amur the Tiger, was announced on January 29 and launched on March 8. Currently five contestants are still in the running, although another of the does is also suspected of being pregnant and is being closely monitored by veterinarians.
It remains unclear exactly when this competition will end.
