GENEVA (Sputnik) – The Riyadh-formed Syrian opposition High Negotiations Committee (HNC) has submitted proposals on the political settlement to the UN Special Envoy Staffan de Mistura, a HNC spokeswoman said Thursday.
"We presented de Mistura with a detailed memo with our vision of transitional period, it's prerogatives, it's composition… So as to move to real substantial negotiations. We are comfortable with written documents," Bassma Kodmani told reporters after the meeting between de Mistura and the HNC delegation.
She also expressed hope de Mistura would press other delegations to submit written papers with their proposals on political settlement.
