GENEVA (Sputnik) — The High Negotiations Committee (HNC) of the Syrian opposition does not oppose presence of the Russian military at the Tartus base, an adviser to the HNC said Thursday.
"Russians did not say they are leaving Syria completely, the base, which has always been there, in Tartus, plus the new base in Hmeymim, remain," Bader Jamous told reporters.
"We agree and do not oppose Russia's presence in Tartus," he added.
