MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The accident took place late on Wednesday, near the southern Jordanian city of Ma’an, the capital of the Ma’an Governorate, the Jordanian Al Ghad newspaper said. Local authorities believe that the bus driver lost control of the vehicle as a result of a failure to obey the speed limit.
At least 16 people were killed in the crash, while 34 others were injured, according to Al Ghad.
The Jerusalem Post said that 18 Palestinians were killed and at least 32 were wounded in the accident.
The injured have been taken to the hospital, Al Ghad said.
