BERLIN (Sputnik) — The suspected Daesh member, identified by the prosecution as Tarik Suleyman S., was arrested on Wednesday and brought before a federal judge on Thursday. He will remain in custody for the period of the investigation.
According to preliminary data, the suspect flew into Syria in late November 2013 and joined the Daesh group – considered a terrorist organization by Germany, Russia and many other nations – no later than in January 2014.
The accused received firearms training from Daesh militants and took part in the Syrian war on their side. He is also said to have appeared in numerous videos and photos released by jihadist propaganda machine, calling for violence against "unbelievers" in Germany.
