BRUSSELS (Sputnik) — Tuesday’s raid in a Brussels neighborhood of Forest ended in a shootout between anti-terror forces and a gunman who was shot down by a sniper. The shooter was later identified as Mohamed Belkaid, an Algerian who had entered the country illegally.
Two other suspects fled the apartment. According to information obtained by Belgian broadcaster RTBF, Salah Abdeslam could have been one of the run-aways.
