MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to Peskov, the Kremlin has no information on whether Russia has received an Egyptian report on the Airbus A321 plane crash over the Sinai Peninsula.
"But our contact with Egypt regarding this issue has not been interrupted, the work to provide the necessary security conditions for renewal of the flights continues," Peskov told reporters.
Flights between Russia and Egypt were suspended after a Russia-operated Airbus A321, en route from the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, crashed on October 31, 2015, as a result of an explosion on board.
Daesh terrorist group claimed responsibility for planting a bomb on board the aircraft.
The two countries have been conduction a joint investigation into the crash, as well as cooperating on enhancing the security of Egyptian airports.
