Snoop Dogg, who is on tour in Bogota, Colombia, mistakenly tagged himself as in the village, and Romanians who spotted the error quickly began posting about it. Once word got out about the tag, a new website called visitbogata.com was created, describing the tiny villiage as the "best place for chillin' in Romania."
"Snoop Dogg checked into Bogata… by mistake—but you don't have to," the front page of their new tourism website states.
The site showcases beautiful images of the serene looking area. One minor problem for tourists is that they don’t have a hotel, suggesting you bring a tent and sleeping bag for your visit.
In a section about their connectivity, the faux-tourism website takes a jab at Bernie Sanders, for a tweet he made earlier this month noting that people living in Bucharest, Romania, have access to much faster Internet than in most of the US.

“Maybe not as high as in the capital city of Romania (we’re looking at you, Bernie Sanders), but we’d say it is pretty good. Good enough to quickly upload a selfie,” the website playfully jabs.
Commenting on the Snoop Dogg mix up, Bogata mayor Laszlo Barta stated, "it was a mistake but it's a good advert for us.”
