US Officials Aided Investigation of Paris Attacks - White House
17:47 GMT 18.03.2016 (Updated: 10:50 GMT 06.08.2022) The United States has used significant available resources to help France and Belgium investigate the terrorist attacks in Paris last November, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest stated on Friday.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Earnest made the statement while commenting on the ongoing counterterrorism operations in Brussels, Belgium.
"The United States obviously has significant resources… and we have used them to assist the French and the Belgians as they have conducted investigation into the attacks and as they have taken steps to try to safeguard their country," Earnest stated.
Earlier in the day, Paris attacks mastermind Salah Abdeslam had been
detained in the Brussels commune of Molenbeek.
Belgian police raided the notorious Molenbeek neighborhood after fingerprints of Paris attacks fugitive Salah Abdeslam had been found in a Brussels apartment.
On November 13, a series of coordinated attacks at several locations in the French capital killed at least 130 people and injured over 360. Daesh claimed responsibility for the attacks.
