MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian major airline Aeroflot has canceled all flights bound to and from Rostov-on-Don scheduled for March 19 and 20, the airline said in a statement on its website on Saturday.
"All flights scheduled to arrive in and depart from Rostov-on-Don on 19 and 20 March have been cancelled <…> Arrivals and departures will take place from Krasnodar Airport. A ground transfer has been arranged between Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar for Aeroflot passengers," the statement reads.
Earlier in the day, a passenger FlyDubai Boeing-737-800 en route from Dubai to Russia’s Rostov-on-Don crashed while attempting to land amid poor weather conditions at the Rostov-on-Don Airport (ROV). All 62 people on board the aircraft including seven crew members were killed in the crash.
