MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Zarif is on an official visit to Turkey on March 19.
"Iran and Turkey are facing common regional threats," Zarif said, as quoted by the IRNA news agency, adding that "We also disagree on some issues but we should settle them through dialogue."
In early March, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu arrived in Tehran for a two-day official visit. The Turkish prime minister underscored Ankara’s role in reaching the international nuclear deal with Iran last summer, which led to the termination of most anti-Iran sanctions in January 2016.
Despite economic ties, Turkey and Iran remain at odds over the Syrian conflict and support for its government.
