MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier on Saturday, the FlyDubai Boeing 737-800 en route from Dubai crashed while attempting to land amid poor weather conditions at the Rostov-on-Don Airport (ROV). No one out of the 7 crew members and the 55 passengers survived the crash.
"The ministers expressed condolences to each other in the context of the death of Ukraine, Russia's citizens in the catastrophe of an airliner in Rostov-on-Don," the statement reads.
The vast majority of the victims were Russians, while according to the Ukrainian Consulate in Rostov-on-Don there could be eight Ukrainian nationals among the people killed in the accident.
The statement added that the sides agreed to provide both staff of Ukraine's General Consulate in Rostov-on-Don and the family members of the crash victims with access to the bodies of the Ukrainian nationals killed in the crash.
