MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Indonesian Army's helicopter crashed at 6:20 p.m. local time (10:20 GMT) in country's central island of Sulawesi, The Jakarta Post newspaper reported, citing Poso police official.
According to the newspaper, the police official said that the helicopter crashed due to the weather conditions, adding that it had been struck by a lightning.
The crash took place in the vicinity of the airport, located in the area of the East Indonesia Mujahiddin (MIT) militant group's activity.
