MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The passenger airliner flying from Dubai crashed early Saturday in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, killing all 62 people aboard, most of them Russians. The FlyDubai Boeing 737-800 departed from Dubai International (DXB) at 18:20 GMT bound for Rostov-on-Don (ROV). The tragic accident occurred at around 00:50 GMT (3:50 a.m. local time).
According to a Rostov-on-Don aviation hub spokesperson, foreign experts have began arriving at the scene of the FlyDubai plane crash.
"The group of foreign experts has arrived in the morning," the spokesperson told RIA Novosti without providing any details regarding their plan of work.
A group of US aviation experts is expected to arrive at the Rostov-on-Don Airport Sunday evening in order to assist in the investigation of the crash.
